ALORAN, a perspective
INTRODUCTION

Looking at a map of Misamis Occidental in the northern part of the island of Mindanao, roughly halfway from its northern-most tip to its southern-most is a small town twenty-six thousand people call home.

Aloran was founded in 1917 and has been my home since 1955.

Though I have lived more than half of my life someplace else, Aloran never ceased to be my home.

Third of four children of a USAFFE veteran-turned security guard of the only industrial company within ten kilometre radius, Rev V Coconut Products, Ltd, and a full-time homemaker, many playmates considered me privileged.
