ALORAN, a perspective
FIESTA

As a young boy I had the privilege of serving my church as a Sacristan.
As such, I get to sit next to Padre having lunch in all baranggays celebrating.
The Feast of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers is celebrated in

May.

To name a few, Makawa, Tawi-tawi... Tuboran on the 3rd,
Burgos, Mitazan... on the 15th,
and if my memory still serves me right, Maular on the 22nd.

A joke goes that you can have your belly full in May without having to cook.
Just have the face to crash into peoples' home, virtually every home has preparation.
This stood true for a long time.

Not anymore.

While there is still food in most households during fiesta, if you are timid, you are in the wrong place.
The same can be said for the September 21st Feast of St Matthew, Aloran's patron saint.
