A LIFE WELL-LIVED RELIGIOUS & CIVIC OBSERVANCES Santa Cruzan - Rayna-rayna May YYYY

This was observed in May, parallel to Flores de Mayo. Unlike Flores de Mayo, Santa Cruzan was, or still is, widespread. In my recollection, most baranggays or puroks pick a Sunday in May for the observance. The exception was Dullan - every 24th of May. Folks who love stage dramas flock to Dullan to enjoy the plays which were always directed by now-deceased, Joe Ello. In all of these celebrations, there was always rayna-rayna (queen-queen) or Reyna Elena in some places. And for the little and not-so-little kids, there was always food.
