A LIFE WELL-LIVED

RELIGIOUS & CIVIC OBSERVANCES
Flores de Mayo
May YYYY

One of the most beautiful church-memory shared by many children where I grew up, myself included, is Flores de Mayo.

From 1st to the 30th day of the month, in the afternoon, boys and girls, in their best clothes, attend to their church, bringing with them flowers (Lerio, was the flower of choice).
One or two, with the stem, this will be presented to the Virgin Mary, midway of the celebration, and a pouch of cut petals, this will be showered to the Virgin Mary at the recessional.

The most-awaited part daily is the "painit".

The culmination is on the last day, plenty of "painit"... then Rayna-rayna.

Below are photos taken during some of these celebrations.
