Mrs Perpetua O Gomez. A very bright teacher and a tough desciplinarian! Besides Ma'am Gomez, there were other teachers that help us develop our gray matter. Mrs Elsa R Sarigumba - Health and Science; Mrs Nadija C Mutia - English, History/Geography; Mrs Paquita C Maisog - Music; Mrs Maria S Apigo - Arts and Home Economics and; Mr Generoso Cuajotor - Industrial Arts/Shop; Of all these subjects we had, Industrial Arts/Shop was most memorable! Another beautiful day when I met my future high school classmates, who became close friends to me. It was the District Athletic Meet, where I was with our Softball Team! And here's this guy, Jimmy Montealto - a number of times he brought me to his home where we enjoy eating breadfruit (kulo) with caramelized sugar (latik), with the family (his widowed mother, two brothers and two sisters - both very pretty). He also gave me a copy of the lyrics of the song Granada, and taught me how to sing it. Lastly, I can still recall some lines of our Graduation Song! ........ went so fleeting And the days and the years went so fast ....... .... our Commencement Day It's sad to pass From you dear Alma Mater And from you dear Teachers and classmates, all .... We surrender all |
